April 20, 2020. As long as we're all staying home and practicing social distancing, my landlady made good use of her time indoors. She brought my favorite bed in from outside, dismantled it, pulled out the stuffing from three zippered inserts and remembered where they go (one was over 6' long), washed it on the hottest setting, washed it again with bleach to better match her decor, dried it, re-stuffed it and placed it in a position of honor in the living room so that I may monitor and participate in household activities.
