July 23, 2020. This is how we spend a day during a pandemic when the temperature forecast (weather, not fever) is due to top 105. At 6:30 a.m. my landlady puts me in my car and drives me to town. We meet our friends outside the coffee shop. Someone goes in, brings out the coffees, hands them around. Then our humans walk us single-file around town, keeping 6' apart and barking at one another over their shoulders. Today's topic of conversation, the invention of a device that will allow one to drink coffee whilst wearing a mask. Humans. Ya gotta love 'em. Then I spend the rest of the day sprawled on the living room carpet with my air conditioner blasting.
