She Just Can't Help It (May 21, 2025)

My landlady and I maintain a business relationship but sometimes she's simply overwhelmed with gratitude for all I give her, like drooling, rooing (the sound typical of greyhounds, when we bark and howl at the same time), stretching out to full length in the hall so that I block all doorways at once. Then she grabs me, hugs me, sometimes she kisses that spot between my eyes. After an episode like this she looks abashed and pretends it never happened. I'm pretty sure of that last part.
